Probate Kit

This do it yourself legal kit shows how to present to the probate office a person's last will and testament and have it recognised ("probated") by the supreme court. Having been granted probate you can administer the estate and distribute bequests to beneficiaries. Although this legal process has in the past been done mainly by lawyers (solicitors), with the introduction of the probate kit probate has been made easy for families and executors - using our proven formula of explanations, forms, and samples.

Power of Attorney Kit

Many elderly people in particular want to authorise someone (usually one of their children) to handle banking for them, and sometimes to even make decisions about medical treatment if necessary. Since 2000 Victorians have also been able to appoint a guardian who can make decisions of a "lifestyle" nature - such as decisions about accommodation.

Will Kit

In some cases your family is not inconvenienced greatly if you die without a Will, but there is no certainty of it. It is much better to make a Will than to hope things will turn out all right.

There is nothing hard about making a Will, but you have to cover "all the bases". Some of these are especially important - such as choosing executors in a flexible way, and signing the Will in a way that avoids questions.

Conveyancing Kit

There is nothing worse than signing a contract from which you can't escape and then discovering that there are problems with the property or the contract. That is precisely the problem that faces most solicitors' clients - they sign first and then go to a solicitor. Even if they go to a solicitor first their protection is limited - we have yet to hear of a solicitor who actually laid eyes on the client's property. They just "pass the buck" on to the client for all the important things.
